The Anti-Socialites Diaries

Meet the most socially awkward twins in the world Asia and Tasia McKinley in the first book of The Anti-Socialites Diaries. It all begins with their tenth birthday party where none of the invited guests bother to show up. Asia and Tasia fear their luck is about to change in fifth grade at Whitlock Elementary School... for the worse.

In the first two months of the school year Asia faints at the State Spelling Bee and Tasia loses a major dance battle against her arch nemesis Porscha... that's only the beginning. During the winter Asia worries that her crush on class cutie Marc will never amount to anything until she gets a Secret Admirer Card on Valentine’s Day. Who could it be from? Meanwhile Tasia plans to rebound from her dance battle debacle at a Talent Show in the spring with the help of glam girl Rosalyn.

At the end of the school year both Asia and Tasia learn the importance of friendship and staying true to yourself amidst mounting social pressure to fit in.

In The Anti-Socialites Diary 2: Middle School Blues Asia and Tasia McKinley attend sixth grade at Spartan Middle School in a new town, but some things never change.

The moment they arrive they face neighborhood bullies. Asia has her hands full trying to choose between her cool friend Coral and her not-so-cool friend Faqua while Tasia tries her best to get the lead role in Middle School Musical. Asia and Tasia are not prepared to face the wild during Camp Education, a three day trip for sixth graders at Chesapeake Bay where one twin ends up in the haunted Cabin D. In the final months of the school year Asia deals with the fallout of her decision between Faqua and Coral. Tasia vows to prove to her classmates that she is "too cool for school" after she is snubbed for the yearbook superlatives.
Asia and Tasia make social decisions in their first year of middle school that they never imagined and all these changes are giving them the blues.

Asia and Tasia are getting adjusted to another new school in seventh grade after relocating back to their hometown  over the summer. This time around they experience a culture shock at East Rivers Middle School. Asia wonders whether or not she has to get a boyfriend to fit in and Tasia ponders her acceptance in the most popular group in the school, "The Hottie Clique."

The twins quickly learn who to trust and who to avoid after a member of "The Hottie Clique" publicly betrays them. Asia meets her best friend Celeste after transferring from her class in the middle of the school year, but still struggles with feeling isolated even with the support of school guidance counselor Chairman. Tasia starts a gossip book called The T.R.uth with her best friend Rose and that spells nothing but trouble. When "The Hottie Clique" leader Vivienne gets her hands on The T.R.uth, everything spins out of control. By the end of this pivotal school year Asia and Tasia figure out that there's a whole lot more to getting through East Rivers than earning the top grades in class.

In their final year of middle school Asia and Tasia experience their toughest challenges yet. They are in for a rude awakening when they go up against a cyber bully who writes cruel hashtags on Twitter and "The Bully Mafia", a group of students who are so ruthless Tasia has to constantly defend herself  from their antics.

Asia and her best friend Celeste battle "The Hottie Clique" who attempt to sabotage Celeste's relationship with Chase. Soon after Asia finds that she can't fight the anonymous Tweeter who trends that everything about is Asia not cool. Tasia is over her head when her seventh grade bully Sheldon joins forces with the ultimate bullies Darla and Raven. An incident during a school assembly leads Tasia to take matters in her own hands and the results aren't pretty.

When graduation day approaches Asia and Tasia are more than ready to finish their last days at East Rivers Middle School. Their middle school journey is ending for now, but they have another four years to face the unexpected in high school.
